Death of Lora
You stand in twilight as if times fell upon you,
ready for eternity.
You don’t speak to me. You promised yourself to death,
I understand.
But in this world you came for me, not for the skies.
We have always been together, since we were young,
and now you leave.
The seasons make me sad. You always knew
and I am separated from this world
by a road with miles of solitude.
We said things that will never be understood.
We walked throughout the centuries, by the pyramids.
Our names were engraved
even before the rocks existed.
But all these will never repeat.
Like the gospels.
We've always been beautiful, but you now,
you are even more beautiful, like this,
with a little death in your eyes.
